Thanks to many generous supporters, the WSU Office of Undergraduate Research, WSU LSAMP program, WSU Team Mentoring Program (TMP), and the Emeritus Society award scholarships for an academic year (i.e., fall and spring semesters†) to students engaging in independent and mentored undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative activities. Scholarship awards will be paid directly into the student account of each recipient.
Though each scholarship has its own eligibility criteria, there are several criteria that each award has in common. Generally, an eligible applicant for these awards must:

An email will be sent to your WSU research mentor requesting a simple endorsement of your award application. Your mentor is the person who is or will be supervising you in your research, scholarship, or creative activities. You should have already discussed this application with this person.
Please note that prior research experience is not a requirement. If you do not have prior research experience, you are encouraged to include work, leadership, or volunteer experiences that show excellent initiative, self-discipline, and/or focus to complete a successful research appointment.
