Scholarship awards will be paid directly into the student account of each recipient. †Note: Currently, none of the awards associated with this form are granted to support summer research projects. General Eligibility Criteria Though each scholarship has its own eligibility criteria, there are several criteria that each award has in common. Generally, an eligible applicant for these awards must: Be a current student: Plan to be a current WSU student at the time the award is funded, which will be the August following submission of the application by the January deadline. (That is, students who graduate prior to the funding of awards in August are not eligible to receive an award.) Have a mentor: Have identified a WSU research mentor who will be able to submit a simple endorsement of your application by Friday, February 2, 2024. Plan to present at SURCA: Agree to participate in SURCA 2025 if you receive an award. Specifically, students who are selected as recipients of these awards must apply to present at and participate in SURCA in the academic year in which their award is funded.
