The Division of Academic Engagement & Student Achievement has 96 poster display boards available for rent to WSU departments and student groups. The cost is $12.00 per board per event. The boards are stored in Smith CUE and can be transported to your event location.
Interested in Renting Boards?
To begin the process, please contact the Office of Undergraduate Research to schedule. You will receive an email confirmation with agreed upon check in/check out times. Reservations require an IRI be provided at least 3 days before the day of check-out. By providing an IRI for rental, you will be charged for the boards reserved and agree to the terms and conditions.
Poster Board Specs
The display boards are dual sided, 78” high x 50” wide, and have stands with wheels.
How Rentals Work
Responsibilities of Renter
- The renter is responsible for pick-up and return of poster boards, legs/wheels, and cart.
- The renter agrees to return by the date/time specified below. Failure to return boards on the day agreed without prior notification will incur a second event rental fee.
- The renter agrees to use only tacks/push pins (no Velcro or tape). All tacks/push pins must be removed prior to return.
- *For events not held in the Smith CUE – the renter agrees to use the cart provided for transport and not assemble and wheel boards to other buildings/locations. Assembling boards and transporting by truck is acceptable.
- Renter agrees to pay for replacement/labor costs for damage/loss occurring during the rental period.
- A 24-hour reservation cancellation notice is required (phone or email). Renter agrees to pay a minimum service fee ($50) for no-shows. If check out and/or check in occurs after normal business hours, a minimum service fee of $50 per occurrence will be applied.
Transport and Assembly
A cart is provided to transport boards to your event location. To balance the weight on the cart, boards are staggered horizontally. Stands/wheels are provided in bins for the number of boards reserved with a few extra just in case wheels break (you will need two sets of legs/wheels for each display board, i.e. for 10 boards you will need 20 legs/wheels). For events in the Smith CUE, the boards must be assembled on floor P1 and wheeled into the elevator.
To assemble, stand the board up and then place the legs/wheels on (this takes two people). If the stands/wheels are put on when flat and then pushed upright – the wheels break. When returning, disassemble boards and place on the cart. Place wheels/stands in bins.
